Hey,

How is it all going 👋🏻

I’m back in Kolkata, and yes, it’s still really hot, but the city feels different. It’s sparkling, and everyone is in a festive mood, celebrating.

Well, I am not feeling like working but I have to because I love you all, you’re my community

Wait, did I say community?

Well, yes. I made it over the years

So how about I teach you the same thing which I did for myself?

‘The art of community building with email marketing’

Building a community is never easy, but you should always focus on building a community over anything.

So how do you build one?

  1. Segmentations

Your email list is a mixed bag, you can’t sell to everyone the same way, or even if the goal of the email is not to sell still you need a custom approach.

So you need to organize your email list based on interests, demographics, or behaviour to customize your content to specific groups.

  1. Engaging Content

Content is the kingdom, share something that matters to them like sometimes testimonials which will make them feel inspired.

Always keep sharing more than people expect that made them feel valued. Every time. And most importantly make sure all of them are directly addressing their pain points.

  1. Interact more often

I always say that email Marketing is way too awesome in comparison to social media, why? Because you can talk 1:1 with your email list.

So, why don’t you use that power of email marketing?

You need to ask questions to them, what they like, what they hate and what they want to see.

The more you ask they will feel that truly value them and then you can optimize accordingly.

Also, you can send surveys to measure it as a whole.

Also, you can give them access to new products/programmes before everyone else.

  1. Close group

Sometimes it is not easy to keep in touch with email because people open email at a certain time in their day if it is not urgent.

So you can bring them to a Discord, or WhatsApp group where you can hang out and be a little more personal with them. (Secret: it gives you quick growth)

Try to connect members with other members.

  1. Tone

Last but not least you need to keep writing in the same tone in every email, it positions you in their mind in that way

Like if you read my emails, you know I write like the way I talk

So it becomes more engaging alongside it helps me to build my tribe.

This is it, my friend

Next week I’ll come up with another hack that will make you a better Email Marketer.
